David Owen McKeon was born Friday, July 13, 1973 to Buck and Patricia McKeon. He was raised in Santa Clarita, California with his two brothers and three sisters.
David earned the rank of Eagle Scout and attended the 1989 National Boy Scout Jamboree. During this experience he visited Washington D.C. and had the opportunity to study our nations Charters of Freedom and war memorials. This is when he began to understand the price of our nation’s freedom and independence.
David started working in his family’s retail business at the age of 16 as a floor sweeper. He worked his way up to one of the corporation’s top salesmen.
During his college years, David visited, lived and worked in European, Middle Eastern and Asian countries. He learned to speak Spanish during a two-year mission in Spain as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He returned to his hometown to start his own business and employed more than 20 people.
David moved to Las Vegas in 2009 and was elected in 2013 as Chairman of the Clark County Republican Party. His campaign platform was to win elections to win majorities. It was during the 2014 election cycle that he was responsible for turning Clark County and Nevada “red”. Republicans won all statewide offices and majorities in both the state Senate and Assembly, a first in Nevada history.
He was a Donald J. Trump supporter as far back as 2015 when he introduced Mr. Trump at his first rally in Las Vegas at Treasure Island. David was a Republican candidate for Nevada’s Congressional District 3 in 2018.
David is married, has two sons and two dogs and enjoys developing global business opportunities.
